Having said that, gov should also open the roads near to politicians houses that are unnecessarily closed..
Anyway roads in cantonments are open to civilians usually.. it is closed in specific cases only.. criticism just for the sake of it is no good.. This is the army we are talking about.. The only organization in this country that puts SOP's above everything else, because if they don't, literally, people die. Having said that, none of the roads were closed without due procedure. It's just that the local MLA's instead of focusing on the problems, like lack of infrastructure, roads, utilities around their area, propagated these lies among the citizens. Then used their political clout to demand the defence ministry to open these roads. Any fact to support your judgement that,"none of the roads were closed without due procedure."?

World is not always how you want it to be.. Have you ever lived in Cantonment area? Do you Know what all is in stake when you open the Cantonment gate? Did you read article on sunjwan attack and pathankot attack? Gates were closed still that happened. Now just think what if Cantonment gates are open to all. M sure you will counter my comment. You can understand this only when you live there. Lived that life of Fauji or their family. Peace brother. Very poor decision. This will certainly cost them votes from Defence. I will personally make sure that I influence at least 10 votes against them. They have backstabbed the Defence forces.
