Nicole Davis speaking, as a child who grew up this way,seeing it from the outside anybody can have a opinon,about it thats normal,but it has to be lived,from day to day to really know what its like to be controlled ps im glad your friend was able to change her life around. Do you guys have any idea whatsoever what the mother went through? It's not always cut and dry to just be able to take the kids and run. He might have been the 'best person ever' until he got them in the house. She obviously suffered abuse as well. He probably made them all fear for their lives. If he caught her trying to help her kids she could have been beaten to an inch of her life. There's reasons why people can be held hostage for insane lengths of time.

She probably had to wait for the right time. I think mothers who are in these situations who have easy access to leave are scum. But I don't think that about this mother. Just kill him. I’m tired of reading stories like this. If there were tougher penalties maybe people would think before they did this crap. And by tougher penalties I mean public stonings or a torturous death. What about his own 3 children that were said to live there? These kids are how old and didnt say a word to a teacher or outside adult? Not saying that whatever they did endure was not bad.. but it's odd that it's been happening for years and these kids are almost teens and the mom or kids or family couldn't do or say anything to anyone for help? Kids could have been too scared. Don't blame them for not saying something. He should be responsible and so should the so called Mom.
