A pantheon of Goddesses are worshipped in India but female foetuses are
killed remorselessly. ...and this has resulted in a very skewed male female in
many states of India ..
When will patriarchy realise proper place of women in men's lives ..
Daniel Brandon: I'm not privilege, I am a poor man living well under the poverty level, but making the best of my situation. Besides, what warrants your need to bring race into this topic? I would rather you not answer that for the enormous possibility of humiliating yourself. Christopher Woodring I think the word " poor" is very subjective, lots of rich people are still very unhappy human beings, and those who have little of material possessions have the richest soul. Bernadette Schramm: I understand unhappiness. I grew-up in an affluent household, did well for myself (financially) throughout much of my adult life, only to lose it all through being despondent over personal problems. I am financially POOR, but wealthy in a blissful spirit. Christopher Woodring then we have something in common, 3 years ago I lost farm and had to go through private bankruptcy: hard to swallow but taught me lots... Bernadette Schramm: We can let our hardship and sorrow swallow us up, or we can accept it, embrace it, then let it go, and see everything in a new light.
Why must society at large (men at home) be reminded time and again, that they must respect 'Women?' Today, the world has become what it is due to this male--mindedness! Every negative aspect is on the rise worldwide and all of us are affected due to this aspect. Be it war, environment, home abuse, abduction, molestation, child abuse or rape. The very fabric of our society is torn apart. Parents are constantly worried if daughters venture out. Our society has become so dark!

Today, a village exist in the state of Haryana (India), where there are no daughters in a family. Wonder why? Being born as a daughter is considered a bane in society. The world is so much 'male centric', that a girl-child stands the survival risk. In Haryana too, the elimination of a girl child began from the womb or life got snuffed out after birth...The mothers could not fight back as everyhold household wanted 'sons!' Sadly, the elders imposed this dictum, and the women followed...
Today, all the sons have gown up, strong & strudy (good income too), yet no village belle to get married to! Recently, the village Panchayat Headman made an important announcement that modern girls minus any head-veil are welcome into their fold. All compromises will be done. The prospective grooms-in-waiting, have aired on TV for girls (other states) to wed them!
But an important question lies unanswered.

If 'sons' are the carriers of the family name, what are we doing in your midst? Have a 'Rainbow' life, for we refuse to decorate your biological laboratory! Mother Nature can have her final laugh... This is true for men as much as women. A persons sex is irrelevant - both sexes equally deserve respect from eachother. Statements like this just promotes a ridiculous war between the sexes. Howevr, I suspect the real purpose of this post is purely for political propaganda due to its timing. Osho is no longer with us so it would appear that the people behind Osho organisation are indeed politically motivated in supporting corrupt administrations - either that, or just enjoy stirring the spin pot...... If Spiritual Teachers are saying the past doesn't exist, then why is it constantly being judged in the present? The men does not usually get domestically abused like women.
