Take 2 showing all these yearly released franchises how it's done. Grand
theft auto released in 2013. It's 2018 and the game still consistently is in
top seller. When you take the time to develop a game and fill it with quality
content, it's like a gift that keeps on giving. I can't even remember when was
the last time I've got an assassin's Creed game in my hand and went
"Wow"....
Quality over quantity any day.
Looking forward to this one as I've never played the franchise.
Origins was pretty great, but I think that actually works toward your point. They took an extra year to work on it and it wound up being a MUCH needed breath of fresh air for the series. Developers should take their time like Rockstar and only release quality. A quality game full of micro transactions does not = a quality game. When the publisher is more focused on GTA online then actual story content you know something is up just my two cents. Kieran I just picked it up and it seems better than the garbage they've been giving us yearly. Picked up all of them. Still stand by my comment that they all feel rushed. Origin seems to care better , again because they took a break and questioned everything they've been giving us. Still they already have another one soon to release. I get the revolving studio tactic, but they could do so much better with such a concept. GTFO, GTA 5 does not have that much quality content, certainly not enough to make it last for over five years. GTA 4 released in 2008, GTA 5 released in 2013.

The only reason we haven't had GTA 6 yet or even GTA 5 Story DLC is because a bunch of idiots keep buying shark cards for GTA Online and Rockstar/Take Two have gotten greedy. Skyrim? It's on every platform going. Been out since 2011. Huge fan base, and I still find something new when travelling. The only game I’m more excited for is last of us. This game looks great. The graphics look a lot better than gta 5. Instant classic I hope. TLOU & GOW 4 are classics.. Only X Box fan boys hate them as its Sony exclusive. Red dead redemption 2 has a tough GOTY contender in GOW 4 & Spiderman. Same. Psyched for them both. TLOU was amazing, and the multiplayer was pretty solid. Id rank it higher than Uncharted personally (and i like that series too). Shadow of the tomb raider looks good as well as halo infinite and fallout 76.

Multiplayer wise battlefield v looks great, black ops 4 will be good for zombies at least. Yeahhhh, no, if I wanted an actual cool iconic zombie virus infection related game I’d go play resident evil. I fear that RDR2 is going to be microtransactions galore. GTA5 was an amazing game I'm not going to take anything away from that fact, but they only supported GTA:Online after release when they realised it was a cash cow. I hope that RDR2 hasnt taken a hit because of this with a cheapened single player experience and the main focus being online. Me too... doesnt mean I want RDR2's single player taking a backseat in favour of the online. The point wasnt that you had to pay to have fun on GTA:online its the fact that they didnt give single player any support. I get where you are coming from but when someone makes a game they want it to have a long life. Best way is online support.. GTA is a game that needs said “expansion” to be played for years to come till GTA6 (ages away) .
