Bonds prob is the Goat and he definitely already had the numbers before 98 but when you say Bonds "allegedly" took steroids you're making a mockery of anyone who has eyeballs. Josh Danner Bonds is hands down the 🐐 it will always be allegedly because their was no testing then. Blame the MLB for not testing for something that was on their radar for over a decade. Steroids didn’t help him steal 500 bases. They also didn’t give him the most impeccable hand eye coordination we’ve ever seen. if they didn't help him why did he take them? Just to see if his head grow a size larger. No he took them so he could break records that he wouldn't have broken had he not taken them. No they would be just like these guys. They would have access to the same nutrition, the same training, and the same steroids. They'd be just like these guys. The human genome has not changed a bit. There would be fewer of them because people of color and ethnicity would have supplanted 46% of them, but they are genetically unchanged. Every generation thinks theirs is the best. Genetically it would take 7,000 years to measurably change the genetic makeup 1%. Alec Caddell it helped him heal and play longer. He had enormous power before he took them. I never said Bonds wasn't the 🐐 just an ego maniac d bag that took steroids. Anyone with a basic understanding of what steroids do to someones body could see that Bonds and tons of other guys from that era were on roids. There was nothing alleged about it. I will call Bonds the goat but Hammerin Hank Aron will always be the HR . This is stupid guys threw hard back then too also you were allowed to hit batters and not get ejected also stepped in the box with out a helmet. It's difficult to compare players from way different eras. The game is much different now, yes Babe Ruth didn't face pitchers with 5 different pitches and a new specialist relief pitcher coming in every inning but Babe Ruth also didn't spend his whole childhood playing travel ball and getting specialized training and diet regimens like most modern players do. It's not an apples to apples comparison.

Although baseball is the one sport where physically guy's from back in the 1930s and 40s could still play today sense it is based more on like natural talent and hand eye coord. That is not the case with like football, basketball or hockey. Babe Ruth played in bigger ballparks, Played against pitchers that had a higher mound, Didn't have the type of training players have today. Babe Ruth played against minority leagues in exhibition games and batted over .400 so it really doesn't matter what color the person was throwing to him.
