This standard can never be maintained during deployment. #justsaying
Soldiers should be focused on jobs and security not deadlifting while deployed. 9/10 people, eh, sure. But 9 out of 10 soldiers? Most units that have attempted this test already pass it majorly from what I've heard. My point is, Joey Ray, if you can 300 the current APFT, you have the discipline necessary to train yourself to maxing (600 or close to max) the new ACFT. It's not easy, but doable. Hard work is rewarding. Joey Ray if you can’t deadlift 200-250 ibs then maybe the military isn’t for that person quite yet. How would that physique be hard to maintain? It’s not hard at all just don’t pig out on food every day and you’ll be fine. Anyone who lifts knows that strength training has to be maintained. If I skip a week to deload, I notice it while training the next time. I can’t even imagine how crowded a the gym is going to be with Battalions trying to maintain this standard, deployed or in garrison. Bryce, stop lifting for two weeks. I’ll load up a barbell for you. I want to see how easy it is to lift 250lbs. Now maintain the standard while deployed: while losing sleep on missions, without talking to your family, while in a combat zone eating MRE’s. No pressure. Joey at 171 lbs j have a 455 1RM max on a conventional deadlift. With moving, a new job, a bunch of other life factors.... I’ve missed the gym for just under a solid year.

Review I Am A Soldier In Christ’s Army V-neck Shirt

In the last 3 weeks is back at a regular PT plan. I was able to hit 250 for reps. This is not an ungodly task to do (of the 5 deployments I’ve been on, ive never been unable to go to the gym anyways so....). I haven't lifted in like two years. Load up that bar. When I was deployed I could have easily deadlifted 250 in full kit while it's 100 degrees. It sounds like your agreement is that it's hard and the average person can't do it. Well, the average person is probably unfit for combat. You’re missing some factors: first how big and heavy are you? Any lifter knows that a certain amount of weight is needed to move other weight. The army has strict BMI guidelines for age. Simply moving the deadlift weight isn’t going to meet the ‘standard’ they expect.

Furthermore, it sound like you were once a heavy lifter to begin with, something that took dedication, diet, training and a lot of sleep. Sleep is never easy to get working for Uncle Sam. You can’t be injured in the army. You’d be on profile until you can prove otherwise. Again, this is the revolving argument about this bad testing. Just lifting the deadlift bar isn’t a pass. You still have to drag the sled, do the pushups, hang on the bar, hurl a ball and run two miles. Don’t bust weight and tape either. This isn’t football. Joey Ray we did the same stuff, pulling weight, push-ups, core training, ball hurls, and dead lifts, and to top it off instead of running the 2 mile we sprint 110’s until we get to 2 miles. who said I only can lift the bar? I’m pretty sure I can lift more than you . You’re probably a foot taller and 100lbs heavier than me too. I could pass this ACFT, that’s not the problem. The problem is that to MAX it, I would have be in the GYM every day waiting on equipment.
