All over the US teachers are putting money out of their own pockets for their schools/kids. There are many who do not appreciate their efforts and look down on their career choice. Thanks, Ellen! My friends who are teachers are rock stars like her and use so much of their own time and resources on the kids! Glad she got some help for her outreach!  We don't need more teachers like this, we need more PEOPLE like this. Just think of how much pain and suffering in the world, especially for children, could be alleviated if we all did even just a little more.  I think she is awesome, both Ellen and the teacher. . Fantastic story instead of reading about people slinging mud at one another. God bless Sonya and all the other teachers leading their classrooms by love and kindness. I think Ellen is a fake as I have put into her show more than 10 times when she is offering Rally Goose T Shirt. I am homeless and yet I work 6 days a week. I have 15,000 dollars in medical bills so no one will rent to me.  This is just wonderful, she is a blessing to so many children who would not have the love that she gives so freely to children because they are our future, God Bless her! Oh Ellen you made me cry again. What a kind, loving woman she is. Kindness has a ripple effect, the children she has helped will be kind, empathetic human beings because her. This is a wonderful story, but please remember that there are so many teachers like this who spend more time and money on so much more that what is seen in reports and statistics! This teacher is an "old soul" meaning she is like the teachers of the 40s, 50s and 60s. Another reason to vote Labour today! I wish I had a teacher like this I absolutely hated school all the way through my teachers didn't bother with me as I wasn't a very clever student but I did go on to make my own way in the world with the help of my wonderful parents.  There are thousands of teachers across this country who step up daily. Unfortunately, they are undervalued, which is very sad.  Not often these things get to me but this teacher bought tears to my eyes, a lump to my throat and joy to my heart x I was reminded of a lovely wonderful teacher who helped me many moons ago...God bless this teacher and all those like her.
