Obesity
in pets should be listed as animal cruelty. Allowing an animal to get that
dangerously overweight is just cruel. Unless they have a genuine medical reason
why they gain weight, it’s unacceptable for pets to get that fat. Zackery
Vaughn humans do that by and for themselves. Dogs depends on us to be fed, and
fed appropriatly. So no, not the same. Seriuously,
I wonder every single day why do people abandon their pets, why??? They're part of your family and they get
depressed just like humans. No
comments about her past .. it’s in the past. I’m glad she’s now entering a new
chapter in her life and soon will be in a home that she’s loved and safe. Many
times a family esp with children in it, will give the pup a piece of whatever
they're eating at the time. It's not done with I'll intentions on the contrary
they love their pet. We shouldn't toss human foods , but I am guilty of doing
that myself. However my dogs aren't overweight. But I certainly don't think
people should be charged with neglect. Instead why not try to help people
understand that it's not healthy to give a dog tacos or any human food really.
Our approach when talking to others esp when we want them to see our point of
view should be the same way we want to be talked to. BAD humans that let their
dogs get so unhealthy then just dump them!! So happy so is in a better place
now. Where is she located? Ok with another dog? Despite of Sassy who gained
alot of weight and surrendered cause for whatever the reason owner could no
longer keep her, but this girl is now in caring hands of an Animal Shelter who
are dedicately helping this little doggie with her weight problem and ensuring
her chances of a forever home. Chihuahuas are wonderful and they don’t eat that
much, plus dogs can eat from boredom. This dog wasn’t eating from boredom
obviously. But there are also health conditions that can make it impossible or
extremely hard for a dog or cat to lose weight even on a good diet and with
being extremely active. Some of these health conditions include rapidly gaining
weight. This Chihuahua also obviously didn’t have a health issue but I wanted
to throw it out there so people stop screaming at everyone for having obese dogs
and cats but also it may not be that persons fault they may have just adopted
them.

Why make her insanely obese and then just dump her? People really have no idea what it means to have a pet. Would they do the same to a child! I was once acquainted with an obese family from Ohio that had several little dogs - pugs, dashounds, chihuahuas - and they were ALL fatter than this poor little girl, all had health issues related to their weight, and when the vet told them to put the dog on a diet, they switched vets - EVEN moved to different towns!!!! I said once when they were showing pictures of their dogs that if I knew who owned these dogs I would call animal control on them for abuse....that's when they claimed the No One Is Illegal On Stolen Land Shirt , and that was the last I spoke to them. Should be a crime to feed a dog like that. Then to dump her in an animal shelter. Good luck. Hope she'll succeed and find a a permanent loving home. I know she needs to lose weight but she looked so happy in one picture - chubby as a chop and absolutely grinning - good work girl I feel your struggle. My adopted cheeweenie was morbidly obese. He is now slimmed down to a healthy 15 pounds, looks good and love life. It’s a shame people let animals get so fat. It does so much harm to them.

Unacceptable. Sassy you are a beauty 👑 you just need to play with some kids or a really active man. The weight will come off with time. Rome wasn't built in a day. Don't stress her and give her complex. She has enough trauma being abandoned by her family. I hope that soon some family will accept the challenge of helping her get down to her Right way. What fun, and laughter and joy they will have when they have her in thier home. That's how our family pet BEAR BEAR is now...people eat and eat and eat...don't try to control ...its OK to take pleasure with all modesty and consideration. What is love and let us care and let us be kind so much ugly in this world even down to the dogs. What a stupid thing for someone to do, so, they misfed her until she got so overweight that it wasn't healthy for the little baby anymore and then they've given her away/ abandoned her... lovely!!!!
